These terms are an agreement between you and JTaurus Partners (“we”, “us”), which operates OtterMail at myottermail.com. By using OtterMail you agree to these terms, the acceptable use policy below, and our Privacy Policy.
Private alpha
OtterMail is pre-release software restricted to the owner-only alpha. There is no public signup; BYOD connection is unavailable. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may limit or end the alpha at any time. Keep your own copies of anything important. You must be at least 18 and invited by us to create an account.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account, including actions taken by AI assistants you connect. Tell us promptly at hello@myottermail.com if you think your account has been misused.
AI assistants
You decide which inboxes and actions each assistant can use, and you can revoke access at any time. Assistants can draft messages, but OtterMail sends a drafted message only after you approve it. You are responsible for the assistants you connect and for complying with their providers’ terms.
Acceptable use and sending policy
OtterMail is for personal and professional correspondence. You may not use it to:
- send unsolicited bulk or commercial email, newsletters or marketing campaigns, or mail to purchased, rented, harvested or scraped address lists;
- send phishing, malware, fraud, harassment, threats, or content that is illegal or infringes others’ rights;
- impersonate another person or organization, or forge or hide the origin of a message;
- work around sending limits, suppression of bounced or complaining addresses, or other safeguards;
- probe, disrupt or overload OtterMail or the networks it uses.
Each message is limited in the number of recipients, and each account has a daily sending limit. We do not send to addresses that have bounced or filed complaints. We monitor bounce and complaint rates, and we may hold outgoing mail, suspend or close accounts that generate complaints or violate this policy, with or without notice. Your content
You own the mail and other content in your account. You give us permission to store, process, transmit and display it only as needed to run OtterMail for you, including delivering it to the assistants and recipients you choose. You are responsible for having the right to send what you send.
Fees
Public signup and checkout are unavailable during the owner-only alpha. Planned paid access uses the prices on our pricing page: Plus $9/month or $90/year, Pro $19/month or $190/year, Agentic $49/month or $490/year, and Enterprise custom. Student Plus is $36/year subject to verification. The planned 14-day trial requires a card upfront and automatically converts to paid unless canceled. These published terms do not activate a trial or authorize a charge today.
Ending your use
You can stop using OtterMail and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or to protect OtterMail, its users or the people they write to. Data handling after closure is described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
OtterMail is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that mail will be delivered, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that data will never be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, JTaurus Partners is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, and our total liability for any claim relating to OtterMail is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100 if you paid nothing.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date and, for material changes, tell account holders by email before the change applies. Continuing to use OtterMail after that means you accept the updated terms. Questions: hello@myottermail.com.
